Well in fairness, they talked about effectiveness rates and it was never 100%. It was 95% with the original strain. And then it dropped with future variants. And the rate dropped over time as well.
Anyone expecting perfect safety was either not paying attention. Or an anti-vaxer insisting the definition of vaccine means it guarantees 100% immunity.
Disclaimer: I did get vaccinated in August. Have not had any noticeable complications. And have not gotten the booster shot. Or perhaps I’m ghost writing.
Not true.
They did repeatedly insist initially that it was “100% effective” and even ran glowing puff piece articles claiming it was “miraculously effective”.
When problems started being spoken of, they pointed to “muh science” and insisted there were no side effects or problems and that talk of such problems were “conspiracy theories”.
Then the downward slide in estimated effectiveness started, 90%, 80%, 75%, 60%, 55%, 33% etc etc.
Then came the unveiling that they knew of the side effects loooong beforehand but they’re still conspiracy theories you know.
If you do a bit of looking you can still find the glowing puff pieces claiming 100% effectiveness.
Remarkable really.
