“It’s also important to note that other surveys have found much higher Windows 11 adoption numbers. Last month, the app advertising platform AdDuplex found Windows 11 usage was at 19.4%, although this represented a mere 0.1% growth from the previous month. Meanwhile, the Steam hardware survey from Valve estimates Windows 11 usage has reached 16.8%.”
That high a % is hard to believe, as with the windows 11 requirements of TMP and secure boot (which requires GPT) and its insistence on treating users as novices (again) and hindering enhancements (yes. I am speaking from experience) then I suspected this would be akin to Windows ME in adoption. Maybe Vista.
But it depends on the survey:
Don't Have Windows 11? Don't Worry, Only 1.44% of Business PCs Use It By Simon Batt Published 4 days ago April 12, 2022 On top of that, only 45% of the PCs in offices right now can even run Windows 11. Specifically, only 44.4% of CPUs for workstations tested met the system requirements for upgrading to Windows 11, while 55.6% did not. And while the majority passed the RAM test (91%), only about half of the workstation TPMs tested met the requirements, while over 19% failed and 28% was not TPM compatible or did not have it enabled.- https://www.lansweeper.com/itam/is-your-business-ready-for-windows-11/
