Saw a youtube video of a Family Guy episode saying that “Fortunate Son” was overplayed in Vietnam-related media. I only remember hearing it in Forrest Gump. Before that, thanks to Apocalypse Now, the go-to “Vietnam song” was the Stones’ “Satisfaction.”

But “Bad Moon Rising” is a great Credence song.

CCR goes into the under-rated band category. Born on the Bayou is my favorite. Great intro, good story telling lyrics, repeated melodic bridges with each getting shorter, just a fun song.

“I Put a Spell on You”. One of the best cover songs of the early Chess artist, Howlin Wolf. Fogerty got what the Wolf was going for, but added a sinister flavor, especially with the base run.
