Snake venom and snake venom proteins have been used in many pharmaceutical concoctions. (I’m surprised prominent pro-vaxxers haven’t been out front in explaining this.) Researchers identified these venom proteins — specifically the Chinese krait and king cobra — in the clotshot several years ago. What’s different this time is the addition of mRNA technology, which instructs the recipients’ cells to keep producing more of the venomous bits. This might explain the weird, wide-ranging side effects of the clotshot, many of which are identical to those of a venomous snakebite.
