Sen. John Kennedy for VP? (vanity)
self | self

Posted on 04/15/2022 3:11:19 PM PDT by Signalman

I was listening, this afternoon, to one of the local conservative radio hosts here in Vegas and he played a clip of Sen. Kennedy who appeared on TV last night on, I believe, Newsmax. After the clip was played, the host stated that Kennedy would be his choice for VP under Trump (or DeSantis). The more I thought about it, the more I began to concur.

Every time I hear Kennedy he seems to make a lot of sense, he has a great sense of humor and appears to be someone would would be an effective debater going up against the lib candidate. And the most important thing about him is he's a solid conservative.

Wondering what other FReeprs think about this.

We in Louisiana have two U. S. senators, but we only have one conservative senator. Please do not promote him to be anything but the conservative LOUISIANA SENATOR THAT HE IS.

He’s funny. We need that. VP for one term. Better yet it’s Trump/Desantis. They win and DeSantis declines to serve and finishes out his governors term. Kennedy steps up for 2 years then takes on Cassidy in ‘26. Farfetched I know.

At 71, his age will work against him.

Nope, DeSantis is the natural pick for VP.

He would be great…..then DeSantis can hand over Florida to a competent successor and move into the Presidency.

We have too few conservative Senators already.

Johnson, Kennedy and Paul are the only ones worth re-electing this time around.

I love DeSantis. I’d hate to lose him as governor.

He is the natural candidate for president in 2028. That gives him one more term as governor.

But I don’t know who would make a better vp in 2024.

I like both of them, Rand and Jordan. I don’t know that Rand would be happy as Trump’s number two.

Kennedy is a fake. Shame on anyone who is fooled by his Uniparty vaudeville routine.

What did he have to say about election fraud?.... Crickets

What does he say about January 6th prisoners?... Crickets

What’s he willing to actually do about illegal immigration?....nothing

And he was happy to cross the aisle to help Biden when a government shutdown was looming.

GOP Senate is a cesspool within a cesspool, and Kennedy is no better than 98% of them.

Yeah, he’s good stuff - but this business of Senator’s running for higher office needs to end.

You wanna run for President, sure. Resign your position first, or retire.

Might bring in some votes from dumbasses that get confused and think he is related to JFK’s family.

I’d rather we put Jim Jordan as Speaker of the House after this years election (dump McCarthy). Or he runs for Brown’s (D) senate seat in ‘24. He’d be wasted as VP. Rather he stay in OH for awhile😉

He’s gonna challenge McCarthy for speaker? Come on. They don’t work that way. Brown-no challenge-only if Brown quits. That’s the way it works.

Senator Soundbite. Yeah, he’s good for a clever quip and voting correctly usually, but he’s no leader.

“And he was happy to cross the aisle to help Biden when a government shutdown was looming.”

Exactly! The Loser Republicans had Biden on the ropes. His agenda was dead unless it got funded; Kennedy voted to keep funding it.
