I lived in Mission Viejo and Irvine for 33 years so I know how much HOA fees can add up. My friends lived in Newport Coast and paid $1000 monthly in HOA fees.

I live in Prescott Valley now and my HOA fees are $53.50 per month and that includes three clubhouses with pool and gym and a dog park. But there are ones in the area which are in the $400+ per month range.
