IIRC Australia,a few years ago,had and agreement with one (or more) smaller Pacific island nations to take in people who attempted to claim asylum in Australia. I believe the agreement(s) involved payments to the island(s) involved,which would make sense.Don't know if this is still happening but it must be acknowleged that most,if not all,of the Pacific's small island nations are safe and secure and asylum is,after all,all about safety.

If Britain had a similar arrangement with Rwanda...or any other nation..that,too,would be reasonable.
