I'll squeeze in one more comment before we get chastised :)

The rejection by Israel was prophesized by Isaiah 5 centuries before Christ was born. Read Isaiah 53 - especially the first 7 verses. Isaiah keeps using the pronouns "we" and "us" - referring to his people: Israel.

So Israel was punished multiple times, and even their temporary rejection of Their Savior is not enough for God to forget His unconditional Promises made to Abraham and his people. Also, Romans 9, 10, and 11 is written all about Israel - especially Romans 11 verses 26 and 27 states that "ALL OF ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED." Please read that.
