You'll never guess WHERE! When Jerusalem was going to be attacked about 300 years BC (I dont remember who was going to attack them), the rabbis knew that the enemy would steal or destroy all valuables including the Arc. So the designated movers of arc were instructed to hide it deep in the wall that surrounded the city. 300 years later, Jesus was crucified in the exact spot above where the Arc was buried. When the Roman soldier pierced his side, Jesus' blood flowed down to the base of his cross. When he died, it is said there were earthquakes, thunderstorms, etc. The ground beneath Jesus' cross cracked and his blood ran down between the rocks and some dripped on the Merci seat which is why the blood on the Shroud of Turin and that of the Merci seat match exactly.
