Just proves that government school teachers have below average IQs. They can't compete academically while in k-12. They don't have good SAT/ACT scores. Those that can manage to get into college choose EDucation indoctrination as a major in college. Learning to do make bulletin boards is the most rigorous course they have to take in college.

I won't stop abusing and ridiculing teachers until they get a real education, admit that they are failures, and are against woke, CRT, LBGT alphabet soup crap. They are the problem.

I got my degree in electronics engineering and an MBA

That is after 9 years in the USAF where I maintained Minuteman III ICBMs. After that I worked 12 Years in aerospace QA and we put several Tomahawks into downtown Baghdad.

OBTW after that, I did 16 years then retired as a vocational education teacher teaching electronics, engineering and physics classes to high schoolers.

Ironically, I agree with your statement. Most teachers that are EDs mentally have never left high school. They choose teaching so they can perpetuate their Peter Pan fantasies of staying in school forever.

I am a retired urban public school teacher. Permit me to make a few observations. I can only speak about high schools.

In general, my teacher colleagues came in two flavors. One group had real degrees (in math, chemistry, history, or whatever). The other group had degrees in education, with a minor in the subject they were teaching.

The first group knew their stuff. The second group, not so much. That’s one reason why I have long advocated that university schools of education be abolished. You wanna teach math? Then go get a degree in math. Then understudy with an expert math teacher.

This, however, is not the main reason why urban public schools are failing. The #1 problem is with the administrators. They absolutely will not discipline disruptive students. Principals are evaluated by how many suspensions they hand out. The fewer, the better. It’s all PR.

So disruptive kids remain in the classroom, and ruin lesson after lesson. Scores go down, and teachers are blamed. Consider this. How can, say, a math teacher teach a lesson effectively when three kids are running around the classroom, and two more are talking on their cell phones? It’s darn near impossible.

But most teachers will try anyway, day after day.
