A Bradley fighting vehicle is not a ‘tank’. It is an armored infantry fighting vehicle. A tank has a large bore gun (120mm), these do not (25mm). A tank has heavy armor, whereas the Bradley is lightly armored.
Most other European languages are not as exact as English. So they use the word "armored" for everything including both tanks and IFVs or APCs and that often gets translated as "tank". French actually has a word for "tank" (
char) but almost everyone outside the military uses the term "armored vehicle" (
blinde) for tanks, IFVs, and armored cars.
So any translation off a European website that says "tank" may mean any armored vehicle.
