Dude just won $2.7 million. Not counting what extra endorsements are heading his way.
Is the IRS on site to pick up his “contribution”?
Winning a major is a license to print money. Guaranteed entry in the next five US Opens, British Opens, and PGA Championships as well as a lifetime exemption at Augusta. And a five-year exemption on the Tour even if he never wins again in that time (although I doubt that will be an issue for him barring injury). Now he'll get appearance fees too at unofficial events. And will always be introduced as '2022 Masters Champion Scottie Scheffler'. This was his fourth win already in the last two months; he's probably amassed over $10M in prize money alone. And it's only April.
I figure if he keeps his head straight this victory will be worth 50 million over time.
