Every car I’ve purchased had 3 pedals including my current car.
That said, looking at new cars and looks like I’ll be forced into a DCT automatic...but with paddles.
—”Every car I’ve purchased had 3 pedals including my current car.”
Going into the depths of Chiraq many days to earn my keep, each year pushing the clutch became more distracting AND I rode the train in bad weather.
Now looking forward to FULL SELF DRIVING...
JUST BUCKLE IN AND TELL THE CAR WHERE TO GO!
Uae the new car money for instead for buying a 92 something with a manual transmission and have it restored to new. I won’t buy any car new enough that it has an electonically enhanced key. I lose keys and replacing one of those things at 75 to 200 dollars is not something I fancy. When I get a car I go get at least four copies of the old time key and leave one in the car and one in my wallet and two in the drawer at home.
You know what else you will have? Computer that knows when you are speeding, pedals that connect to nothing but a sensor. you pull up behind a car and you slow down until you change lanes, push on the gas pedal as much as you want and you will stay behind the the car until you change lanes. My wife went to town last week and the car texted me every time she was speeding. Just a matter of time until they just start sending speeding tickets in the mail. Even easier they will just bill your new digital money account as soon as they get that established.
Ahh, you went to the Jeremy Clarkson school of driving I see. Flappy paddle gearboxes. Who needs em?
Funny thing is; technology is moving forever forward.
I wouldn’t mind driving a new Vette though. Wouldn’t own one mind you but I’d like to try out that flappy paddle gearbox on some twisties. I’ll still stick with the stick, generally speaking.
