People don’t always realize how fast vehicles can move. They can be a mile away, but seemingly just in front of you in seconds.

Many people were killed or maimed in the Civil War when they tried to stop cannon balls. When seen from head on or at a slight angle, fast objects seem slow.

I have seen my .308 bullets streak toward the target when the sun glints from them. 105mm projectiles can always bee seen leaving the bore, and tracked all the way to the apex.
