My 19 month old nephew for about 9 months now was using Enfamil Porsobee formula with Soy..he has a sensitive stomach so he was on the soy formula even though he is no longer an infant..did not have any problems with it til about a month ago, til recently it had a green label then they changed it to a white label but they told us that it contains the same ingredients that nothing changed but the label itself, fine..but he started having diarrhea, we thought it was from him teething, it would come and go, so my sis saw he was better and tried the formula one time again and the diarrhea started again, so now he’s on rice dream, he tested positive for C diff but the doc told her that anyone under 2 tests positive regardless so it means nothing..he is now on a full dose probiotic(She does not want to give him any medication since we have no idea how he would react to it) its a little better but still not where we want him to be, otherwise he is completely fine, no blood in stool, no e coli, salmonella, etc..so honestly not sure what happened..am thinking about sending the formula to a lab to get privately tested to see what the hell might have been in it
Look at the ingredient label, you’ll need a magnifer glass. If it has Carrageenan he Has IBD Irritable Bowel Disease not a sensitive stomach. Even Organic foods have it. Does he truly have a sensitive stomach or reacting to Carrageenan. Let it go on it will get worse. Stay away from KETO crap too, Gastro Patients don’t tolerate it.
Diarrhea is 1 of the symptoms, Acid Reflux too. Activa yogurt doesn’t have enough Probiotics to compensate for the Carrageenan in it. Look for the gummy Probiotics. Play with how many he will need. Child ones won’t be strong enough. I’ve use Probiotics for 2 decades no issues with them.
As a Adult I use 40 Billion multi Strain tablets. Normally I say stay away from adult Gummy’s as they are to strong for kids. You may need it, 1 gummy first, see what it does. Put it where he can’t get to it.
Most baby food has it, they thicken food with it. Just because it’s not a chemical doesn’t mean it won’t cause harm. Organic growers have wanted it out of food for some time,
Try eliminating as much dairy as possible. What triggered my research was the cheaper Heritage Farm Chicken had Salt on the label, I eat low sodium, but it had this strange word Carrageenan. I am a GASTRO/Heart patient and had Diarrhea for 3.5 months that turned into a SIBO infection. Small Bowel Intestinal Overgrowth.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE CARRAGEENAN IS GETTING MORE POTENT you can blame it on yeast but I’ll bet it is this toxic seaweed. https://medicalxpress.com/news/2022-03-toxin-producing-yeast-strains-gut-fuel.html THE IBD it causes extends to infants needing Nexium as it is in their formula. https://medicalxpress.com/news/2022-03-toxin-producing-yeast-strains-gut-fuel.html/ Colic could be treated, Stomach inflammation can’t.
My boys had sensitive guts too, it cleared up with dry powered skim milk and baby rice cereal. Youngest couldn’t have red food dyes.
