There are a lot of pedestrian collision videos on youtube. They are very instructive. Seriously.

One thing I learned is that you ALWAYS look both ways, even if you have the green - and even if you are crossing a one way street.

I can't help wonder if he was crossing while distracted by his cell phone maybe? Or just distracted..

There have been times when I get one of those "almosts" because I am not paying attention when I cross. Scares the heck outta me.....Makes me thank God and then I try to be more aware....

Agree. Ever been to London? Half the people driving don’t even know which side of the street they belong on. You really have to look the other way there, or you’re TOAST.
