It was not bad anywhere. It was all exaggeration, lies, and corruption.
As of 7 April 2022, JHU reports 521,530 Covid deaths in India across twenty-seven months.
So....
( 521,530 Covid deaths in India / 1,403,717,340 population ) x 100 = 0.037 % mortality rate over more than two years. The yearly number would be less than half that.
