In south Texas we’re hitting 3 degrees above the historical low. Perhaps the fear-mongering we saw all over in the 1970’s about “Are You Prepared for the Coming Ice Age?”, etc. were more correct.

Farmers around here will say both.
Cold will stun crops ... they’ll turn yellow, quit growing until it warms up again ... and later they might be stunted from the earlier set-back.
Not good for the fruit crops.
