There is a 25 mile stretch of highway between Kinston and New Bern in Eastern NC that has had 100 yard red stains ending in a bit of fur every time I have driven it.

Semi trucks at 80 mph vaporize deer.

Green Swamp Rd, between Whiteville (hwy 74) and Supply (hwy 17)
Came around a curve closer to the Supply end, just in time to see a tractor trailer collide (he was coming into the curve)
with 7 deer...he bagged 5....looked like he tossed a bucket of red paint on his truck.
