Russia never had all of the Ukraine before the Soviet era (iirc). Pretty much historically only up to the Dnieper in the north and to the Dneister in the south.

Galicia can, and probably should, be returned to Poland.

“Galicia can, and probably should, be returned to Poland.”

Galicia is one of those unfortunate districts that is claimed by at least two larger countries, and historically has been part of one, then the other. Historically, Poland itself shares much of the same problem: Usually caught in a tug-of-war between Germany and Russia, or Austria-Hungary and Russia.
