A new report claims President Joe Biden has told people he wants former President Donald Trump to be prosecuted.

The leak was published in the New York Times on Saturday as Democrats mount increasing pressure on the Justice Department to take action against Trump and people within his orbit in relation to the Capitol riot. At focus are Attorney General Merrick Garland and his "deliberative approach," as the report put it, which is causing frustration.

I'm wondering if the calculus here is that elements in the DOJ know that if they were to do so, all bets are off, as in "if we do this, the situation will not be resolved politically".

So we have now devolved to political prosecution? Trump should be prosecuted simply because he is in the way of the socialist takeover of America? I would like to think this will be too much for Americans to tolerate, but then I thought Americans would rise up against the lockdowns after about two weeks. Boy, was I wrong. It seems charges against Trump are a done deal, it will be interesting to watch the Republicans sit on their hands and remain silent as this plays out.

I think it will eventually happen. But I don’t think they will get a conviction. But they would tie Trump up during the election the same way they did during his presidency. I have this feeling that Trump really does not intend to run in 2024, he is just blocking to keep the heat off potentials like DeSantis. However, I think Trump and America deserve a second Trump term. And I would certainly support that enthusiastically.

This is where you and I disagree; I think Trump and America deserve a first Trump term because the last one was illegally derailed through fraud and treason.
