It wasn’t a communist thing. That happened everywhere that was liberated from the Germans. In the Netherlands, France, Denmark, Norway, you name the place it happened.
Anni-Frid Lyngstad, of the group ABBA, was a child born from a Norwegian mother whose bed partner was a Sgt in the Wermacht. After the war Anni’s mother fled with her to Sweden in fear of reprisals against women who slept with German soldiers.

So you're saying ordinary people committed these terrible acts of tonsorial torture? Or are you saying that the Ukrainian soldiers are de facto nazi collaborators?

Such fraternization was a lot more common than the usual good war propaganda pretends. One West German Lufwaffe general had a French mother as a result of such a union. His mother went to the French sector of Germany as soon as she could and married her lieutenant. These post war unions were not uncommon.
