My thoughts exactly! When if ever, has there been a fire like that in TN?
I find it hard to believe the whole country is not at risk from acts of violence on a larger scale.
2016?
They wouldn’t have wildland equipment and wildland crews if wildland fires weren’t somewhat common.
It stands out because they are relatively small compared to the ones out west and they fill the climate change narrative.
They are fairly common this time of year as the spring rains haven’t really pushed the spring growth yet.

I think the Gatlinburg fire a few years ago might’ve been worse.
Big one in-near Gatlinburg in 2016 burned 11,000 acres and 2500 homes, 14 dead.
There are always forest fires, it is a natural occurrence, generally caused by lightning.
How about 2016? The 2016 fire looked worse.
Just change the name from Pigeon Forge to Pigeon.
