“The war with Poland won’t be as restricted in terms of collateral damage as you see in Ukraine.”

Indeed. The Ukrainian airforce has been very restrained in its attacks on Russia. Only attacking fuel depots and other military targets across the border.

Poland has a 200 year grudge against the Russians and would show no such restraint. I expect and early move would be reducing the port city Novorossiysk to rubble to cut off Russian resupply.

With what assets? Warsaw is going to be in ruins after a couple hours and the Polish would put their government on pitchforks for entering the war.

I expect step 1 would be Nato suppression of every Russian asset in Kaliningrad. Step 2 would be a few armored brigades reinforce Lithuania Latvia Estonia. Lukashenko will be terrified into incontinence. Step 3 will be stealth aircraft start blasting airfields railheads fuel depots and missile assets.
