‘I forgot that George W. Bush said “Islam is peace.”’
Well, in one sense of the word it does mean ‘peace’. That sense is when it is used to refer to the ‘Da’ar Al Islam’ (House of Peace), which is the phrase the muslims use to describe all the countries ruled by Islamic regimes collectively, kind of like “Christendom” used to be used in the West. This is opposed to the ‘House of War’, which is all the other countries that are not ruled by Islam.
But this ‘Peace’ only exists because resistance has been crushed. It’s the kind of ‘peace’ you get when one big guy in the cell block just kills anyone who dares to fight him. So this is why muslims can say “Islam means peace” and “Islam means submission” and they do not see a contradiction.
No silly. “Islam is peace” means Muslims get to treat girls like pieces of meat as long as: they’re not Muslim, not married to a Muslim, are old enough to have menstruated, and the Muslim’s “right hand possesses” her. Muhammad (pieces be unto him) taught in the Koran Muslim men can rape any girl that meets all these qualifications.
