I’m only supposed to recharge my laptop battery to 80%? That explains why the battery life is so short now.

Lap tops with removable batteries are what I miss. Hard reset.
Apple is not going to re-design the iPhone so the battery is user replaceable. They will exit the iPhone market in the EU if they are forced to do that re-design.

I have an old cheapo Acer PC—not in very good shape—but has certain programs I still use off-line—and occasionally it starts acting up and the battery removal hard reset is exactly what is needed.

The phones themselves create their own daisy chain Bluetooth network independently of cellular networks. All this data is logged and can be transmitted later when the battery is reinserted.
