Getting calls from people “you called me?” My number’s being spoofed.

I text myself all the time. Quick way to jot down notes or lists.

I often schedule texts to be sent at a future time.

Same here. I even got one spam call from my own number.

I got one. I copied the text of the message and popped it into a text editor and took out the URL then pasted that into a browser. It was a total BS “rewards” scam ostensibly from Verizon. Delete, delete, delete.

I received one of those and promptly blocked me from texting me anything.

(Seriesly...I did get one and deleted it. Weirdest thing.)

I also text myself a lot. Reminders, lists, look up something, etc.

I am puzzled by the fact that the article does not mention Verizon’s number for forwarding spam: 7726

Perhaps that is not the number for all Verizon customers, though. I have no idea.

Got one last night. Said my March bill had been taken care of with Russian link to click.

For as much money as a cell phone line costs, these companies can sure do something about the spam texts and calls.

Yeah, I've learned to click on the from, then I block the sender if it's a phish.

I've also been unsubscribing on a LOT of incoming emails.

If I don't recognize a call, I don't answer. If it's someone that interested in speaking to me, they can send a voicemail.

So far this month, I have zero VMs...lol.

Got one on my Verizon iPhone. Replied with STOP and rec’d my own reply back. You would think the tech companies could have a reply with SPAM to block these annoying messages.

My phone doesn’t allow spoofing with the carrier I use, sometimes blocked legitimate calls and texts but only occurred twice so I like the block

I got 1 also with a russian link as well as a english link. Deleted without opening it.

Doesn’t that duplicate the reminder or list? It shows what you sent and what you received.
