Found out last night on a local TV station (I live in FL) that the entire Oscar production show crew was an all Black one led by Will Packer who is from St. Petersburg, FL.
St. Petersburg held a special Oscar watching party to celebrate their hometown guy made good, and Will Parker’s historic all Black crew producing last night’s Oscar show.
Silly wabbits! The Oscars are for people who worked in Movies, not TV. If the Grammys ignore his departure, then you have something to complain about, even though his TV show was never on my TV.

Wonder how St Petersburg felt last night when the whole state was dissed!

It’s only for people who have made or been in movies, no? Bob was a TV star.
According to Wikipedia, Saget made at least 18 movies.
Much bigger as a TV star, of course. But he made movies and they should have recognized him.
Then they missed him. Maybe because he was Jewish....
Do they list those who have died since the last Oscar ceremony or do they go by calendar year? Was he skipped because he died in January 2022?

Cancel the entire genre of such shows.

Were any Jews included in the Memorium? If so, then Saget's being Jewish had nothing to do with his exclusion.
Probably a combination of him being mostly a TV star, and the manner of his death.
Interestingly another freeper posted copies of Sagets tweets from social antisocial media (twitter etc.).
Evidently Saget was persona non grata and "canceled" because he tweeted "All Lives Matter". Bob Saget was forced to retract his "All Lives Matter" statement but that did not satisfy the haters.
Saget had committed the unforgivable sin against the Holy Ghost George Floyd by saying "All Lives Matter".
