I could never figure out why they said, “Ea-cha mama” (Eat your mama?).
I have watched several versions of that clip, and found that it had been edited a couple of times, but originally DID say that.

One of the best scenes in the series: Rogue One A Star Wars Story - Darth Vader Fight Scene

Just for fun: Harry Potter vs Luke Skywalker. Epic Rap Battles Of History

This installment was basically Muppet Movie 2.

Re: Return of the Jedi (1983) - Best Star Wars movie ever

That is the majority opinion, but I have never understood why, although the steel bikini scenes with Princess Leia are definitely worth watching.

Beyond that, the dialogue and acting between Luke and Lord Vader (Luke's father) is juvenile, the battle between the primitive Ewoks and the Imperial troops is absurd, and the special effects are painfully obvious.

My two favorites are Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999) and Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002). Although the lack of chemistry between Padme (Natalie Portman) and Anakin (Hayden Christensen) is embarrassing, the visual experience of both films is outstanding, and Ewan McGregor does a rock solid acting job as a young Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The final three films (2015-2019) are so bad I can barely watch them.

The two spin off films, Rogue One (2016) and Solo (2018), are quite good, and I very much enjoy watching them.

That’s funny. I’ve been doing the same. I think it’s just good escapism from the current news. I finally watched the animated series as I had always poo-poohed them before. I found them surprisingly good. Watched The Clone Wars (movie and series), Star Wars Rebels, and The Bad Batch series...all very good.

I happened to watch EOSB AND ROTJ last night. When the Ewoks scenes came up I kept thinking that maybe the Empire got to full of itself, started buying cheaper materials from a a rogue fascist run country and that is why the Ewoks were able to destroy there big walking metal tanks.

Correction - it is NOT the majority opinion.

Majority opinion is, both before SW went off the rails (TOT only) and now, that Empire Strikes Back is the best.

I happen not to agree. Return is my favorite. But mostly Return was trashed, pre-prequels, and Empire is/was exulted.

Empire is great, don’t get me wrong. But the dangling storyline at the end brings it down for me. I like things feeling wrapped up. Even “A New Hope” (it was just STAR WARS) had something of a wrap-up, just not as solid as Return.

Not huge on the prequels, though better than the Disneyquels. Christensen was wooden though handsome, and Portman wasn’t much less wooden and definitely not the convincing tough girl that Princess Leia was. (I hate how modern actresses hype how women can do anything, but they’re BAD at acting tough. Can’t think of famous actresses beyond Leia’s day besides Sigourney Weaver or Linda Hamilton who actually seems strong and tough. Carrie Fisher did a great job at that.)

My fave, next to the original. I don’t see how, with all its innovations and breakthrough concepts, a sequel can beat that, but I saw ROTJ the day it came out in PHX and was blown away. Loved it.

Empire Strikes Back was a lot better than ANH.

I didn't like Star Wars II, which portrayed a series of defeats followed by a cliff hanger ending that forced us to wait three years to see how the story finally came out. Star Wars III was better, but didn't measure up to the first episode.

I watched the first of the antecedents when it came out in 1996, but it was so bad that I didn't see any of the others.
