It most certainly is the breed.
See my tagline...I agree it most certainly IS the breed.
Here is a reply from a typical emotional and biased pit Bull owner that I pulled from another conversation on FB. Notice her argument lines you see over and over with the breed owners:
1. love as a feeling is used “my previous sweet babies”
2. the owners are at fault
3. The breed is fine and safe
4. The dogs were mistreated
“sorry, but you need to do your research, first, pit bull isn’t even correct, they are all part of the terrior breed. The original use of “pit bulls” were as Nanny dogs. They are protective, I don’t disagree, but the evil souls that use them for fighting should all be chained up in cages and left starving and outside.
I have 2 that are precious sweet babies. I have been rescuing “pit bulls” since getting education on them and they are given such an unfair stigma. There are dogs that have been mistreated, abused, used for fighting and they may not be able to be rehabilitated, but it is worth trying, they are a living breathing soul. It’s not fair to call it on the entire breed. Look at our world, would you say all Russians are bad based on what is happening? So how can 1 sit and say the same about an animal?
I will fight for the breed, I will continue to rescue and save all animals. I’m not sure where your information is coming from”
Amazingly she claims her opponent needs to research when actual researched websites like dogsbite.org refute HER. I politely gave her the address and she didn’t comment back to me.
