That’s one of the main triggers in all dogs. Two or more are much more likely to attack something. Lax enforcement of laws is a problem. The problem with banning pits is, what is a pit? We had to change insurance because the agent thought our Great Dane was a pit. No one has ever really narrowed it down. The worst dog attack in my area involved five German Shepherds. I am not defending Pits. My son has one, but it is a smaller one and does not run loose. Loose dogs are a potential menace no matter what they are. The size and power of a Pit just makes things much worse. I think they are more easily triggered than most dogs.

That is why I fenced my entire yard when I had 7 (seven) adult Lhasa Apsos. (to protect the public).

Some breeds like people more prone I guess , and some people don’t train their dogs properly as well I suppose. Always tragic and often preventable. Very sad.
