As a side note from my wife’s cardiac therapy classes, 30 minutes of exercise 6x a week prevents 90-95% of illnesses or medication requirements.

One of my health care providers recently mentioned that exercise outside provides 4x the benefits as indoor exercise.

Interesting re the sun and Vitamin D.

On 2 March my wife had a hip replaced. For 2 plus weeks a home health care RN/Therapist was here about every other day.

The last two visits had a big focus on my wife getting outside in the early afternoon on our west sided decks or our driveways.

Our goal was/is 20 to 30 minutes a day in the sunshine. I think we are seeing some real benefits both expected and not expected.

Our 2 DIL’s are Sun babes and go walking in the sun or running or just basking in it. Their husbands, our usually healthy guys had some hard Covid hits. One had the Delta and one the recent Covidcrud.

They/our sons don’t avoid the sun, they just don’t plan their day to get 20-30 minutes of sun/Vitamin D.
