A Ukrainian pianist has been filmed playing a final rendition of Chopin in the ruins of her house after it was badly damaged by Russian shelling. In a video recorded by her daughter, Iryna Manyukina is seen playing the piano in their home in Bila Tserkva, some 80 kilometers from Kyiv.

I heard she is also Ukraine’s top harp player and, as she is playing the Ukraine national anthem on the piano with Russian bombs falling all around here she is simultaneously using the harp as a bow to take down dozens of Russian choppers a day using arrows that she carved from mighty oaks.

I guess to you it’s all just melodrama when peoples homes and cities are getting shelled... and then there appears one or two dispassionate souls who don’t fear to tread in the wake of destruction. They defiantly wave their fists at the sky standing in the ruins of what was and now is. They do not worry of a most certain fate, but instead want to embrace the life they built and loved by enjoying one last dance at a piano.
I see it as being human... but you see it as a cynic and part of a scripted act; staged and choreographed as a polished propaganda piece for distribution.

What you have to ask yourself is - why in every story do you only see wonderful, sweet, loving, astoundingly brave Ukraines doing fantastic things?
In North Korea, China, Vietnam, Cuba, etc you see the same thing - great, amazingly brave, altruistic and kind citizens are the only kind you’ll find in those countries.
And, as in Ukraine, everyone is just wild about their wise and courageous Fearless Leader. Not even one dissenter. (well, other than the ones who are banned and/or imprisoned by the, but that’s just nitpicking).
