What happened? In a distant galaxy far away there was a Joe Scarborough who helped Newt Gingrich pass the Contract With America. He was never a full-blooded rightwinger, but he was dependable.

Even when he first started out as a reporter he had a more humane take on Katrina than some of the "Let the floodwaters flow. God will sort them out." crowd.

But now he is a complete lefty. Is there any hope for conservatives? Will all conservatives eventually start sliding toward the left, either because they were only faking it, or because they got caught up in some honeypot?
