If true, this is where things could take another step up the danger ladder. If Putin loses face and/or a major town, he may turn to unconventional weapons.
I like to believe that the rational element in the Russian military has already taken steps to keep Putin from doing anything crazier. The Russians need to get Putin before he gets them.
