Wish I had a dollar for every black convict that told me I "disrespected" him during my 25 years in New York State Corrections, I'd be rich. When they said that to me, I'd reply: "If you had any respect for yourself or your family, you wouldn't be in here."

I had to make a service call for some communications equipment in one of those old upstate prisons. I had a security bit kit with fifty bits amongst my tools. They made me list every single one of them on the form before they would let me in. So after a couple hours of going through all the bullshit, I pick up my gear and head toward the metal detector. “Don’t bother” they say “just go around”. I could have had a sawed off and a couple of hand grenades in my pockets — they didn’t search me. Buncha bozos.
Funny thing is, I was going to fix the videoconferencing equipment in the U.S. IMMIGRATION COURT. They had an IC inside the prison! What the actual F!
