And question for the racing expert, what's the issue w Mercedes PUs?
And, bonus question...does Mercedes sell the exact same PU to McLaren, or do they keep a little extra tech for their own team?

I’m only a casual fan but I think the Merc problem is the chassis/handling. This year was a big rule change for the chassis/aero and some hit it right (Ferrari & Red Bull) and some didn’t (Merc and McLaren).
at one time i know they were different when they split the turbos on the factory team engines, not sure now

Too right you are, mate ! I saw a video clip of two Formula 1 racers from last year ( ? ), Verstappen and Hamilton, dueling for first place in an event. Verstappen drove OVER the TOP of Hamilton’s car after some contact, leaving TIRE MARKS on Hamilton’s helmet !!!
People are saying, without controversy, that the halo saved Hamilton’s life .. .
Right before the restart of a race after a caution flag - it’s the LAST lap ! Hamilton is in first place, if he wins he’s the Champion of the .. . WORLD !!!
He says over his radio to his pit crew : “Tell me THAT’s NOT Verstappen behind me .. . with FRESH tires.”
We all know how THAT turned out .. .
That was a good race.

LEWIS’ WRONG TURNS
EVERY race weekend, Lewis Hamilton gets out of his car and thanks the crowd – presumably hoping we at home can’t hear them booing.
It happens everywhere he goes, whether he wins or loses.
People love Max Verstappen but they’ve taken a noisy dislike to Lewis. The problem is that Lewis has changed.
When he first came on to the scene he was bright and talented and normal – and everyone loved him.
But then he decided to go woke and right-on and more politically correct than a student union AGM.
After the murder of George Floyd, he had Mercedes paint the cars black, he talks about how he’s now green because he sold his jet and has urged everyone to be vegetarian.
All this might work well on social media but in the real world, where people live, it doesn’t work at all.
And this is a problem for the green movement.
They get Lewis to be a mouthpiece thinking he’ll convert the rest of us.
But instead, we all just want to throw something at him.
