Win 10 is 18 gigs compared to 2 gigs for even the heaviest Linux. After initial updates Win 11 is like 30 gigs from what I understand.
#8 I installed Windows 10 in Oracle Virtual PC then upgraded to Windows 11. Windows 10 and 11 are huge.
Check properties of the “C” drive.
Used space: 69 gigabytes
