I was way too little to watch and understand this show but my mother evidently did. As a kid I only noticed the catchy theme song so I named my first cat K.C. for kittycat and after Casey.

Casey Jones was aired when my parents were teens. A more family friendly show amid the other action oriented ones would have appeal for parents.
