Yep. In some states that guy would be commended. But this is California. So as you noted, he’s probably in trouble.
You’ve got to know your territory. As singer Jim Croce once noted, don’t spit into the wind.
Fighting this in California is a losing battle. Outfits like Walgreens need to just pack up and leave. When Pelosi’s servants have to drive 3 hours to get whatever it is that keeps her alive then maybe they will do something.
The question remains: What is worth defending? What is worth dying for? What is worth living for?”

Wallgeens ain’t worth defending or dying for.
“Don’t get caught doing it on video
Don’t do it in California”
Or if you do, carry one of those Mexican wrestling masks to protect your identity (and instill fear in the hearts of your enemies).
I don’t think he did it for the sake of Walgreen’s.
“If you are caught being mean to a criminal, you will be punished, and perhaps even forced to compensate the criminal.”
And the poor victim seems to be POC and the Avenging Customer looks like he is (gasp) white. So I would hazard a guess that he will be charged with a racist hate crime.
Hell, he may even be subject to the death penalty. This is Cailfornicate, doncha know.
Wallgeens ain’t worth defending or dying for.
Don’t focus on the method in this article. That is not the point.
What will each of us do when confronted with this situation? There are other methods.
Don’t know how this is going to turn out, but in St. Louis, the thief would go free and the guy who tried to stop him would be prosecuted.
The vigilante part is coming more so when the criminals decide to hit homes with the people in them, which is on the uptick in the sewer that is California. There will be some who take the law into their own hands because government will not fulfill it’s very basic obligations as a government and beatings, shootings and executions will occur and the government will expend more effort to stop the vigilantes than to stop the criminals. Most in California will simply comply with the criminal element and accept the abuse they self-inflicted with their continued voting for leftist idiots.
You must kill an opponent that can seek retribution. If he is not dead he will come for you
Nothing. Do nothing. Not your people, not your problem.
Need Charles Bronson back again with vigilante justice!
wow, I did a search, walgreens and nothing came up..sorry.
“Don’t get caught doing it on video”

Video would be the only protection against claims that you did things worse (and/or illegal) than just stopping someone.
Also, don’t yell obscenities or epithets as they could go towards motivation and control of mental state.
wow.. I had never thought of that! do you think that’s what’s going on? these companies don’t care because they will just take the write off and its a lot less trouble than prosecuting the thieves?
How about a 1 cent FEDERAL sales tax that only kicks in when an item is stolen. Want to steal an item? You must pay the FEDERAL sales tax at the register first. Leave the store with stolen items and did not pay the tax? Federal charges for tax evasion.
This way all the Soros prosecutors who won’t charge thieves are not involved. Send these losers to big boy jail.
Nothing. Do nothing. Not your people, not your problem.

If it’s not on video, it didn’t happen. If it’s on video, especially in California... it’s a huge risk. Democrats have little tolerance for people doing the right thing.
When Fed-up action require he did good.

If you recall the first ‘Death Wish’ movie, the cops eventually catch on to Paul Kersey. And they let him go. No way would that happen today. Cops are very different now.
