I’ve been using an old style double edge with Feather blades for years. Economical, smooth, and never clogs.
Double edge razors are the best. Thick beards are no problem and the Astra (Russian) blades are a great value at a couple cents a shave.
Shaving old school requires a bit of patience and having a styptic pen on hand. Doesn’t work for me in the morning while I am half asleep and trying to conduct surgery on my face.
