Massive Earthquake Shakes Taiwan

A strong earthquake has shaken the eastern coast of Taiwan in the early hours of Wednesday local time. The tremor, estimated at 6.9 or 7.0 magnitude, was registered at the depth of 10 kilometers under the Philippine Sea, some 63 kilometers south of the city of Hualien.

Taiwan gets hit by earthquakes very often. We can’t say its “normal” but like the Japanese, the people there are very used to it.

Good!
We used to get to interact with Taiwanese people every summer, when they would bring their championship teams to the Little League World Series here in Williamsport.
I am hoping there will be International teams again this year, after two years without those great kids.
