My two cents...
Having worked a drive through in my youth, I can say weird stuff happens. I have been witness to sodas thrown at workers, beer sprayed on workers, fireworks tossed into the window, large trucks taking out the overhang, people throwing up through the window and onto the worker...I could go on. Never, ever, did I see the employee get so upset that they chased down the offender with a firearm.
They released her on $1000 bond? Really? I guess being part of two protected groups (at least) cuts you some slack.
It appears she didn’t kill or wound the jerk. Needs some time at the range.
“A Burger King spokesperson called the incident “unacceptable.”
“We are horrified to learn of the events that unfolded at this location. This unacceptable behavior does not align with our brand values of safety and security,” the spokesperson said. “Our franchisee is cooperating with local authorities. As this remains an ongoing investigation, we aren’t able to share additional details at this time.”
Notice that statement does not say the gunman was fired......and probably won’t be.

This is a very pervasive aspect of modern US society. We are enabling crimes because we (As a country) no longer have the moral confidence to punish people (especially of if they are a protected minority of any kind). It’s just one more cut to the slow, bleeding out of the US.
