In the early 1980s there was this pizza place on 5th avenue and 20th street in Mahattan that to this day was the best pizza I ever had in my life. It was absolutely perfect and I use to eat there almost every day when I worked as a messenger. The crust, the dough, the sauce, the cheese. He had these garlic crumbs on the dough. it was unreal. I think in one sitting I ate 5 slices lol.
I don’t think it’s there anymore though, like everything else it’s now a fashion store to appease the commie trust fund brats who moved in and infested the city worse than cockroaches “Pizza is SO not environmentally sound Earth Child, it’s just contributes to climate change with those horrible ovens! Come, let’s go to Union square and TOTALLY protest capitalism and racist Trump” Ugh, I get nauseous just thinking about what that city has become today.
I always liked John’s on Bleeker.
It's become what I always thought it was.
Been there twice, can't think of a single reason why I'd ever need to go there again.
