This is much ado about nothing. Cubs are much harder to tame if you wait until they are 5 weeks old before you risk your life taking them. They start to believe that the big furry thing they are sucking milk from is their mother and not you. So, your chances of getting them to do cute little tricks like riding bicycles, or dancing around while balancing a ball on their nose etc... is almost nil. And when they get big instead of Betty White feeding them snacks, Betty White is the snack.
