I've been thinking that for two years now. I can't help but think of my father, a family doc from '54 to '84, and those colleagues of his that I knew that never would have stood for this.
What a different time though. He was in private practice and so were most other docs back then. They hadn't sold their souls to a corporation.
The docs AND hospitals sold their souls to INSURERS.
Everything exploded when health insurance got huge and medicare and medicaid exploded. A huge pool of money to bill against when most folks dont use their services but pay huge premiums that mostly cover those using lots of services...
You pay other peoples medical bills every dam day.
