I've been thinking that for two years now. I can't help but think of my father, a family doc from '54 to '84, and those colleagues of his that I knew that never would have stood for this.
What a different time though. He was in private practice and so were most other docs back then. They hadn't sold their souls to a corporation.

So 416 fewer kids died of Covid than had been thought to. There were only 1700 of those nationwide. Largely inconsequential. The idea of vax for kids was to get them a few weeks or months of protection from infection so they could not pass it to grandparents. But the vax is so short lived that maybe that’s pointless.
As for older age, the number adjustment looks like less than 10%? That backs the total away from 1 million, but the next surge will probably deal with that.

Everything exploded when health insurance got huge and medicare and medicaid exploded. A huge pool of money to bill against when most folks dont use their services but pay huge premiums that mostly cover those using lots of services...
