About 1983 my girlfriend at the time told me she didn’t get sick because she wouldn’t allow it. At first I was ticked off at her “arrogance” but I thought about the fact that she never lied so I could count on the fact that she hadn’t been sick in a long time.
I was used to catching the flu twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. Had been that way for years. But I decided that I could do it if she could do it and set my mind to never get the flu again. That was 39 years ago and I haven’t.
The last time I had a cold was at least ten years before that. Can’t say why I stopped getting those. Could be the tobacco smoking. Nicotine is said to inhibit viruses.
