I'm watching the live commentary on F1 qualifications, and the update announcing the start of Q2 included this:

One change for this year is that teams will no longer start the race on the tyre they set their fastest time on in Q2, so less tyre strategy in this session.

So are teams now free to start the race on any tire they choose? Does anybody know?

Newer dark livery for Ferrari this season. They were rocking the dark red during testing.
