Taco wise, I have to agree. Then again, compared to where? Maine? Montana? Wisconsin. Want "suck"? Try what passes for Mexican food in Europe or Asia.
FWIW, the best Tacos I ever had were served up streetside on Olvera Street in LA, a close second in a little place in Glendale, AZ called "La Perla". This was back in the early 80's so I have no idea whether Olvera is still as good or whether La Perla hasn't morphed into Taco Bell. And nothing I've ever had anywhere is the same as the Mexican food in Mexico.
